Catey Inc.
USA

Investment advisory services for executives and private clients with U.S. financial exposure.

What we do

Catey Inc. is a registered investment advisor operating under Colorado law. We advise private clients and corporate executives on portfolio management, stock option planning, and compliance-based asset management — with a particular focus on clients navigating both U.S. and European financial environments.

Stock options & deferred compensation

We guide clients through each stage — from grant to vesting to exercise — and invest the proceeds in line with their goals.

Compliance-based asset management

For executives subject to insider trading rules, we manage portfolios that stay within company regulations at all times.

Portfolio management

Individually managed discretionary portfolios for private clients who want a dynamic but traditional equity approach.

Compliance

When compliance is part of the job

Companies subject to insider trading rules need their executives' investments monitored continuously. Catey maintains a direct line with your compliance department, reports holdings, flags restricted securities, and ensures trading windows are respected — so your staff can invest without putting the firm at risk.

We handle the compliance reporting. You focus on your work.

  • Pre-approved investment list for staff and immediate family
  • Continuous monitoring of restricted securities
  • Trading window enforcement and minimum shareholding rules
  • Direct reporting to your compliance department
  • Monthly account and performance reports

How we invest

Our emotions are one of the greatest obstacles to satisfactory market performance. A good strategy executed consistently will most of the time outperform a great strategy executed inconsistently.

We study what has led to success year over year, decade over decade, and apply it today.

Market signals

  • Leading economic indicators
  • Earnings estimates for major indices
  • Price to Sales ratio (P/S)
  • VIX — high readings signal oversold conditions

Stock selection

  • Unusual institutional price momentum
  • Upward earnings estimate revisions
  • Low Price to Sales — less susceptible to accounting distortion than P/E

We execute through Interactive Brokers, chosen for their global market access, top-tier execution quality, and financial stability — confirmed even during the 2008 financial crisis when they received a rating upgrade.
